Belt cleaning is wide and varied job with a wide range of options required depending upon the application, belt type, product carried and environmental conditions

Flexco provide a wide range of scrapers under the Rockline, Eliminator, and Mineline banners. This range includes cleaners suitable for both clipped and vulcanised belts for light duty sand and gravel applications, right through to the heaviest and fastest mining conveyors. This range offers both polyurethane and Tungsten Carbide tipped cleaners along with Felxco's C-Tip which is Tungsten carbide encased in steel and suitable for use with belt fasteners without damaging the scraper or the clips.

Essential to all belt cleaners is correct installation and maintenance. We provide support and practical on-site assistance throughout planning, specification, installation and maintenance of belt cleaners to ensure that the cleaner is functioning to its full capacity and providing a return on investment throughout its entire lifetime.

Belt Cleaning Solutions

Primary Cleaners

Primary belt cleaners are the front line in belt cleaning. These cleaners are mounted on the head drum and must be capable of handling anything the belt can throw at it. We offer the Flexco range of primary belt cleaners which cover everything from fine dust though to the heaviest mining applications. Cleaner blades can belt either polyurethane or Tungsten carbide, depending upon the requirement on site. The primary cleaner is designed to remove the vast bulk of the material, leaving the secondary to concentrate on the fine material without becoming swamped.

Secondary Cleaners

Secondary belt cleaners are the follow-up cleaner which remove the fine material left behind by the primary cleaner. Conveyors can function with just a single cleaner but, in general the cleaners are designed to work as a combination. Many secondary cleaners use Tungsten carbide cleaners, but Flexco’s safety-oriented design allows many of these tips to be used in conjunction with belt fasteners. Depending upon the requirement, the secondary cleaners can focus on removing fine dust or fine sticky material leaving the belt as clean as possible. In some cases, tertiary cleaners are used to further clean the belt and reach very high efficiencies.

Flexco Elevate

The latest innovation from Flexco is the Elevate smart cleaner. This system can either be supplied along with a new cleaner or as an add-on to an existing unit. The Elevate device is an internet of things (IOT) device which communicates to the cloud using an in-built SIM card or site WiFi. The unit continually monitors the cleaner for performance and blade life feeding the information back to a cloud dashboard, allowing you to see all of the cleaners at a glance. In the event of damage to the cleaner or if it approaches the end of its blade life, an alert is sent out to describe the service required. This pioneering system allows the operator to maintain constant monitoring of belt cleaners throughout the plant, no matter how remote they might be.
